Before it becomes only the third superhero movie in history to hit the $2 billion mark at the worldwide box office, which should happen this weekend, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already shattered an equally impressive domestic milestone. The new superhero blockbuster has already broken several records over the course of two weeks, and is among the 10 biggest hits in history, both domestically and worldwide. What this means is that it has beaten the lifetime hauls of some of the biggest movies ever made, and it has done so in just around 15 days. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth solo Spider-Man movie headlined by Tom Holland, who made his debut as the fan-favorite character a decade ago, in Captain America: Civil War.
