The first glimpses of the Spider-Man 4 trailer have quickly drawn attention online, offering brief looks. While the short clips have generated excitement among fans, the reaction has not been entirely positive. Many viewers have raised a major concern about the footage’s rollout, with criticism gaining traction across social media.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day fans want the entire trailer released at once

The release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day clips has left fans divided, with many calling for a full trailer release instead of the current approach. While the brief videos shared so far have generated excitement, the decision to reveal the trailer through a series of one-to two-second clips has led to growing frustration online.

Tom Holland announced the strategy on Instagram, explaining that the trailer would be released in a unique way with help from fan accounts around the world. The process began with a fan page in Peru posting a short clip of Spider-Man swinging while carrying someone. This was followed by another account in Ohio, which shared a moment showing Peter Parker collapsing. Additional clips continued to emerge throughout the day, each lasting only a few seconds.

The response from fans has been mixed. Industry scooper MyTimeToShineH commented on X (formerly Twitter), “At this point release the whole trailer bruh,” before adding in another post, “Why even [release] a full trailer when they’re releasing the whole thing in parts.”

Another user wrote, “I’ve never seen a more annoying marketing tactic than SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY releasing over twenty two second clips over the course of a single day. More like call it a day.”

This rollout is going to get a little annoying Spider‑Man: Brand New Day being teased in tiny bits and pieces. But I get the strategy. Dropping clues, sparking theories, and keeping everyone talking is exactly how you build hype. It will work, even if it tests our patience. https://t.co/gSTqLCUVWw

Daniel Richtman stated, “This new Marvel strategy of releasing something every hour to promote a film is both genius and annoying as f**k. We still don’t know if it works since they’ve only just started doing it. We’ll find out soon.”

Despite the frustration, the campaign seems to have succeeded in keeping Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the center of discussion online.
