Solitary confinement, air strikes: French couple return from Iran 'unbroken' after four-year ordeal
French nationals Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris returned home on Wednesday after more than three and a half years in Tehran's most notorious jail and a perilous journey through a country at war. Their release, which Iran views as a “prisoner swap”, comes as France has distanced itself from the US-Israeli attacks on the Islamic republic.
