Slow Horses Season 5 Release Date & First Photos Revealed For Apple TV+ Show

Apple TV+ has revealed the release date and first photos for Slow Horses Season 5.

The British spy thriller is based on the Slough House novels by Mick Herron. Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the leader of Slough House, a team of overlooked, cast-aside British intelligence agents. Slough House is where MI5 sends the agents who make career-ending mistakes. However, Lamb, who is “brilliant but cantankerous,” and his team constantly find themselves at the center of important espionage assignments.

Apple TV+’s official synopsis reads, “Everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend. When a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply.”

When is the Slow Horses Season 5 release date?

The six-episode fifth season will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with the first two episodes. One episode will then be released weekly until October 22.

Besides Oldman, Slow Horses Season 5 stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce. Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed joins the cast as a special guest star.

Slow Horses is adapted for television by Will Smith. Executive producers include Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Smith, and Graham Yost. Saul Metzstein will direct Season 5. The series is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films.
