In less than two weeks of release, director Ryan Coogler's Sinners has established itself as one of the highest-grossing horror movies in domestic box office history. The movie registered an otherworldly hold in its second weekend, dropping by a negligible 5% at the domestic box office. Horror films typically tend to be front-loaded, and will drop anywhere between 60% to 70% in their sophomore frames. Thanks to its record hold, Sinners is inching closer to the $130 million mark domestically, as it aims to pass the $170 million milestone at the worldwide box office today.
