Mark and Helly's fate might have seemed uncertain after Severance season 2's ending, but one detail from the season's finale seemingly gave away how the two characters could survive in season 3. Before Severance season 2's final credits start rolling, Mark's innie makes the bold decision to defy his outie by pursuing his love for Helly. He saves Gemma by escorting her out of the Lumon building. However, instead of joining her and letting his outie live happily ever after, he chooses to stay behind in Lumon to be able to be with Helly.
