Sean Diddy Combs Out of Solitary Confinement, Back in ‘Gen-Pop’ After Fight that Delayed His Prison Release

Diddy’s prison term is back on track after the fight.

Disgraced rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been released from solitary confinement.

In the aftermath of his prison fight at New Jersey’s Fort Dix FCI, Diddy is back in ‘gen-pop’ (general population).

This information was obtained by several outlets, even though the FBP has not officially confirmed these changes in confinement status.

Page Six reported:

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions,” the Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a statement to Page Six on Thursday.

Combs, 56, was tossed into solitary confinement after he had an altercation with another inmate last month. The disgraced music mogul felt [disrespected] and took ‘matters into his own hands’, which led to the two men pushing each other, TMZ reported on July 24.”

Combs, who is serving a four-year sentence for prostitution offenses at Fort Dix, was reported to have ‘held his own’ during the fight.

New York Daily News reported:

“The disgraced music mogul has rejoined the general population at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where he was ordered to serve a 50-month sentence after being found guilty in July 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. A source confirmed the news to TMZ on Wednesday, weeks after it reported that Combs landed in the hole following a fight with another inmate.

The brawl broke out last month, after an FCI inmate allegedly [disrespected] Combs, sparking an argument that almost immediately turned physical. The pair quickly started shoving each other, both of them getting in a couple punches, before security stopped the fight and separated the prisoners.

Few other details about the fight were provided.”
