Samay Raina's COMEBACK show HITS high in Mumbai after..., wins over 25000 fans: 'You have given me everything'

Samay Raina is making news once more, this time for his comeback to the Mumbai stage. As part of his ongoing India tour, Samay Raina Is Alive and Unfiltered, the comedian performed for 25,000 people in two sold-out gigs after being under fire earlier this year. Sharing his gratitude on Instagram, Samay wrote, "Mumbai, I love you so much. You have given me everything... I am overwhelmed, I'm grateful to every single person who came out to see me."

He also praised his followers for their continuous support, saying, "God has been kind." Tanmay Bhat, another comedian, was also included in the lineup.

Samay Raina's India Tour began on...

The tour started in Bengaluru on August 15 and is now scheduled to head to Kolkata on September 6 7, Chennai on September 19 20, and Pune on September 26 28. Three consecutive gigs in Delhi on October 3, 4, and 5 will conclude the tour.

Samay Raina issues unconditional apology

Samay had sent a sincere apology to the Supreme Court for comments he made on his now-cancelled web show India's Got Latent that were seen as making fun of people with uncommon genetic illnesses and impairments. Samay said in a written statement that he was dedicated to producing "inclusive and sensitive" content and that he had no desire to disparage anyone. Also, he promised to maintain "better conduct, content sensitivity, and legal compliance."

The India's Got Latent controversy

Following a highly criticised episode of Samay's India's Got Latent, a dispute surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia also involved Samay. Ranveer questioned a participant about seeing or taking part in their parents' intimate deed during the show. As co-host, Samay faced the same criticism for permitting and participating in the incident on his platform.

Numerous FIRs were made in various areas, cancellations were demanded, and prominent people and organisations condemned the action. The response was quick. Later on, Samay and Ranveer both apologised in public. Samay sent an affidavit to the Supreme Court expressing regret and a promise to produce more responsible material.
