Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek’s animated adventure is proving it still has lives to spare on streaming. The beloved DreamWorks sequel is clawing its way back into viewers’ watchlists more than three years after its theatrical debut. The feline-led film is showing no signs of slowing down on Vudu.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish continues streaming success on Vudu

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish ranked tenth on Vudu’s Top 10 Movies chart in the United States on April 7, 2026. According to FlixPatrol, which tracks VOD charts and streaming ratings worldwide, the film has spent ten days on the platform. Avatar: Fire and Ash topped the chart, followed by The Super Mario Bros. Movie in second place.

The Joel Crawford-directed film originally released in December 2022 and grossed $480.4 million worldwide. It earned a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the site’s consensus calling it “smart, sweet, and funny.” The film received Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Critics’ Choice nominations for Best Animated Feature.

Universal released the film digitally on January 6, 2023, just 16 days after its theatrical run. It subsequently moved to Peacock on March 10, 2023, before transitioning to Netflix on July 13, 2023. The film generated $7.6 million in home media sales across its release windows.

FlixPatrol’s April 7 Vudu chart also featured Scream 7, GOAT, and Fast X. The Passion of the Christ and The Ten Commandments also appeared on the chart, likely driven by the Easter holiday period. The Housemaid, which has spent 60 days on the platform, rounded out the lower half of the rankings.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish remains one of DreamWorks Animation’s strongest-performing titles across home media platforms. Deadline calculated the film’s net profit at $120.2 million, placing it eighth on their 2022 “Most Valuable Blockbusters” list. Its continued Vudu presence reflects the film’s sustained audience appeal more than three years after release.
