In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Sabrina Carpenter addressed speculation surrounding her love life. This happened following reports of a breakup with actor Barry Keoghan, whom she dated for about a year. Without confirming or denying her current relationship status, Carpenter said with a laugh, “Am I doing the single thing right now? “I’m doing the 25-year-old thing right now, whatever that means.” 

Talking about the speculations and rumors around her relationship, Carpenter said, “You’re like, ‘That didn’t happen then. That did happen then. You’re missing a few key details there.’” The pop star also shared how difficult it can be to balance relationships with a growing career. She said, “People underestimate how tricky it is to navigate being a young woman, having relationships, and then having a bunch of strangers have opinions on them.”

Despite the gossip, the Espresso singer made it clear she’s proud of how she’s handled the attention. She said, “Surely, all of these people that are commenting, if they had the same microscope on their personal lives, I don’t think they’d be as eloquently spoken as me.” She also added, “I know it’s a tale as old as time. It’s just unfortunate that it’s still a tale.” 

On the career front, Carpenter is gearing up for the release of her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, which is set to drop on August 29, 2025. She announced the release date on June 11 via Instagram. It was shortly after she revealed the project’s lead single, “Manchild,” co-written with Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen.
