What better way to kick off the NBA playoffs than a game at the Mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden? The Knicks began their postseason journey tonight by hosting the sixth seeded Pistons for the opening clash of the series. As expected, several household names showed up to MSG to witness the thrilling encounter. However, Knicks fans were not too impressed as they had bigger concerns to worry about.

Well, the game was neck and neck from the get go as only two points separated both teams at the end of the first half. Amid the heated battle, the Knicks’ posted two images on X showcasing their Celebrity Row for Game 1. First – New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson. And second – renowned singer and songwriter Ciara.

Meanwhile on the court, Jalen Brunson was struggling. It was last month that he sprained his ankle during a game against the Lakers. The unfortunate injury forced him to miss a month of action, putting his team’s playoff seeding in jeopardy. Against all odds, Brunson returned to finish the regular season, keeping the Knicks fans’ title dreams alive. However, when he stepped on the hardwood tonight, his ankle slowly started giving up on him. During the closing seconds of the third quarter, the star guard literally fell to his knees during a play because of his hurt ankle. And he spent majority of the night limping on the floor. Moreover, the Knicks lost their two-point lead in the same quarter and it seemed like the game was slipping away.

Obviously, fans were concerned and they did not like the Knicks posting Celebrity Row picture while their superstar dealt with injury and their team lost. Comments like “You are losing. Stop tweeting.” And “Read the room” began flooding in.
