Russell Crowe’s Biblical Fantasy Epic Rewrites History on Streaming This April

It's been a while since Russell Croweheadlined a big-budget blockbuster. In fact, it has been over a decade. In recent years, the Oscar-winner has had success starring in mid-budget movies such as The Pope's Exorcist and Nuremberg, although he seemed quite upset about not being asked to return for Gladiator II by Ridley Scott. He didn't sound too pleased about repeatedly being questioned about his absence, and later went on to make rather critical comments about the movie. There was a time when Crowe and Scott worked on a string of films together, many of which did well at the box office. Their last collaboration, however, was the historical epic Robin Hood, which grossed around $350 million worldwide in 2010. A few years later, Crowe starred in what would, for now, be his final leading role in a big-budget movie.
