Rocky: Sylvester Stallone Movie’s Rerelease Gets Major Update, Popcorn Bucket & More Revealed

The Rocky 50th Anniversary event has received an important update. It includes the movie’s release date and extra material that will accompany the 4K restoration of the Hollywood classic.

The rerelease of the iconic boxing movie includes a featurette. This featurette will include behind-the-scenes footage, clips, and a greeting from the upcoming biopic I Play Rocky. The event also has a few other surprises that might entice fans and collectors alike.

The theatrical event begins on November 7, 2026, and runs through November 11, 2026. Tickets are now on sale.

What fans can expect from the 50th anniversary theatrical event

In addition to the featurette, limited-edition concession vessels will be available in select theaters as part of the event. These include a Rocky 50th Anniversary Staircase Popcorn Bucket, a Rocky 50th Anniversary 130 oz. round popcorn tin, and a Rocky 50th Anniversary 44 oz. beverage cup. Fans have been advised to check availability and purchase limits, as they may vary by theater.

The event is being held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rocky, Sylvester Stallone‘s iconic movie. It also arrives just ahead of the release of I Play Rocky, which hits theaters on November 13, 2026. I Play Rocky is a movie by Baha Productions and Fireside Films. Amazon MGM Studios will distribute it. The movie is directed by Academy Award winner Peter Farrelly, whose previous work includes There’s Something About Mary and Green Book.

The movie stars Anthony Ippolito as Sylvester Stallone, who wrote Rocky and later starred in it. AnnaSophia Robb will play the role of Stallone’s wife, Sasha Czack. Stephan James is set to play the late Carl Weathers, who played Apollo Creed. The cast also includes Toby Kebbell, P. J. Byrne, Jay Duplass, Robert Morgan, Tracy Letts, and Matt Dillon.

The movie is written by Peter Gamble and produced by Toby Emmerich, Christian Baha, Peter Farrelly, Paul Currie, and Michele Weiss.
