Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) is a man with a dream in Emmerdale, pity two residents are already taking steps to destroy it.
The beloved character moved into Butler’s Farm last week after being told by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) that he’d be the new tenant farmer.
It was initially very awkward for Robert, as he knew taking on the tenancy would cause problems for the Dingles. When Joe put forward the idea of moving a different farmer in, Robert hated the thought of not continuing his family legacy and told Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) that it was time to start packing.
As the couple moved in, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) moved out, but told Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) to stick around as he didn’t want them to be out of a job.
Robert’s first full week as a new farmer got off to a pretty poor start tonight, as he was trying to fix a broken tractor.
Joe then rocked up and announced to Robert and Aaron that he was selling the herd of cows. Frustratingly for Robert, he didn’t realise the lease didn’t include the animals on the farm, which basically means Joe can do what he likes with them.
Meanwhile, at Wishing Well, Sam Dingle (James Hooton) was making steady progress with the new Dingle Farm. He had secured some land from Finnegan, which meant they now had a bigger area to work with and fill with animals.
A while later, Matty and Mack arrived and told Sam they were ready to get to work. It became apparent that the duo had tricked Robert into thinking they were doing jobs for him, when in actual fact they had wandered down to Wishing Well to help Sam.
It proved their loyalty, and it was also pretty humorous to Mack and Matty that Robert was effectively paying them to help the Dingles.
This week, Tates vs Dingles will continue when Joe discovers the herd of cows he intended on selling has gone missing.
He immediately confronts Cain who claims his family had nothing to do with it.

But they did.
Out on a country path, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) of all people is revealed to be the cow thief.
A problem quickly arises though, as she learns that the bull sitting in the truck is fitted with a tracker, which means Joe can easily find the location.
But will he get there on time? Or will a Dingle family member swoop in and save Belle before she’s caught?
