Taylor Swift seems to have disappointed fans who have long been waiting for the release date of her Reputation (Taylor’s Version) album, and thought that she might announce it at the 2025 AMAs. Ultimately, Swift decided not to attend the award show. While her failure to secure any wins at the event somewhat explains her absence, it also means that her admirers will have to wait even more to get updates on Rep TV. Now, many fans have begun speculating again as to when Swift could announce the release date for Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
Taylor Swift fans search ‘Reputation Taylor’s Version Release Date’ amid snub
Fans have long been hoping for an update from the 14-time Grammy winner regarding the release date for the re-recorded version of Reputation. Many fans on the internet noted several potential Easter eggs from Swift that they believed indicated that the singer would be announcing the new version of her 2017 album at the 2025 American Music Awards.
However, Taylor Swift not only skipped the 2025 AMAs altogether but also gave out no information regarding when Reputation (Taylor’s Version) could be coming out. The singer secured a total of six nominations across 36 categories at this year’s AMAs, but won no awards at the event.
At the time of writing, Swift has confirmed the re-recording of her first six albums. The pop sensation decided to embark on this journey after producer Scooter Braun gained ownership of the master recordings of Swift’s first six albums for $300 million back in 2019, as per Financial Express.
Since then, the 35-year-old musician has released re-recorded versions of all those albums under the banner of “Taylor’s Version.” She most recently premiered the new version of her fifth studio album, 1989, in 2023, leading fans to ask for the release date of Reputation (Taylor’s Version).
Despite the hype surrounding Rep TV, Swift has yet to share any update regarding its release date.
