Though the sequel often gets a lot of the attention these days, it's important that we don't forget just how groundbreaking the first Red Dead Redemption was. Tracking the story of John Marston after the events of the second game, its tragic narrative, addictive gameplay, and complete open-world really were better than just about anything else that was around at the time.
