Rebecca Ferguson’s underground sci-fi epic just achieved something almost no show pulls off in its third season. The Apple TV series continues to impress critics as it heads into its penultimate chapter.
What critics are saying about Silo Season 3
Silo Season 3 premieres on Apple TV on July 3, 2026, and critics have responded with universal praise. Germain Lussier of io9.com noted that fans who felt disappointed by Season 2 should return. He wrote that Season 3 “takes its time but, ultimately, is just as intriguing, and even more revealing, than that excellent first season.”
Dais Johnston of Inverse called it “a masterclass in post-apocalyptic sci-fi.” M.N. Miller of FandomWire gave it 9/10 and described the show as “a brutal, gritty, post-apocalyptic, populist series that reinvents itself in fascinating ways.”
Felipe Rangel of Screen Rant awarded it 8/10 and stated that it “is completely different from the Apple TV sci-fi series’ first two seasons, in a good way.” Alberto Carlos of Espinof gave it 4/5 and observed that “this season thankfully corrects some of the structural issues present in both the first and second installments.”
Katie Doll of CBR delivered a perfect 10/10, declaring the show “is everything a show of this genre was meant to be.” Tania Hussain of Collider also awarded 9/10 and praised the series as “thoughtful, gripping, and beautifully made.” Joonatan Itkonen of Region Free gave it 5/5, calling the final episodes “some of the most intense and brilliant TV I’ve seen all year.”
Every critic gave the new season a fresh rating, with individual scores ranging from 7/10 to 10/10. Chris Evangelista of Slashfilm rounded out the reviews with 7/10, stating there has “never been a better time to get on board with this show.”
Silo Season 3 gets a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes
The season currently holds a perfect 100% Tomatometer score based on nine reviews. As a result, the perfect score marks a strong start for the show’s penultimate chapter on Apple TV. Meanwhile, Rebecca Ferguson returns as engineer Juliette, alongside David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, Common, and Harriet Walter. Notably, the series follows thousands of people living in a giant underground silo in a ruined and toxic future.
