In a few days, Rebecca Ferguson will be seen alongside an eclectic cast in The Magic Faraway Tree, an adaptation of Enid Blyton’s fantasy novels for children. It’s a departure for the Swedish actor, whose 2026 slate is dominated by sci-fi projects aimed at adult audiences. She began the year with the poorly received “screen-life” movie Mercy and followed it up with the third season of her beloved Apple TV show Silo. Later this year, Ferguson will reprise her role as Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve’s hotly anticipated Dune: Part Three. Thanks to roles in major franchises, Ferguson’s star rose over the years following her breakout performance in the period drama series The White Queen. Now, one of her earliest hits is streaming in the United States on Netflix, but only for a little while longer.
