Hello library workers! Today, I have some resources to help you with your reader’s advisory work, whether it’s keeping up with the noteworthy titles being released in May, recommending readalikes for your patrons’ favorite authors and movies, making sure you have the latest award-winning books, or learning more about popular genres and authors.
I also strongly urge everyone to stay up-to-date with Ryan Coogler’s historical vampire movie, Sinners! It’s already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about movies of the year, and I can say firsthand that it’s unlike any vampire movie you have ever seen. (Keep reading for some readalike recommendations if you have patrons who are already talking about this movie!)

And finally, I want to do a little shout-out to my other corner of Book Riot: the Read or Dead mystery/thriller podcast! At the beginning of the month, Kendra Winchester and I
celebrated the podcast’s 200th episode, which is an absolutely surreal accomplishment. That’s nearly eight years of talking about mysteries and suspense, and I’m so thrilled I’ve been able to be behind the mic for nearly all of those 200 episodes!
