Another month, another lineup of free PS Plus Essential games. However, the announcement is coming a bit earlier as it was announced during the September 2025 PlayStation State of Play. Although the lineup’s headliner was leaked earlier today, we now know what subscribers will be able to redeem as part of their membership next month.
What are the PS Plus Essential October 2025 games?
The PS Plus Essential October 2025 lineup is a solid slate of games to play during the spookiest month of the year. As leaked earlier today, the critically acclaimed survival horror game Alan Wake 2 is headlining the lineup. Alongside the Remedy Entertainment sequel are Goat Simulator 3 and Cocoon, giving PS5 gamers a great roundup of games to play in the lead-up to Halloween.
The PS Plus Essential October 2025 lineup will be available for subscribers to redeem beginning on October 7. If Sony follows the same timing as its previous monthly offerings, members should be able to claim these games until November 3.
As one set of free PS Plus Essential games enters, another leaves. The September 2025 free games are currently available to claim right now. Subscribers who want to take advantage of the perk will need to act fast, as these games will not be redeemable after October 6. Here is the full PS Plus Essential lineup for this month:
Psychonauts 2 Stardew Valley ViewfinderAs expected, anyone who wants to claim these games will need to have a subscription to Sony’s online gaming service PS Plus. The lowest (and cheapest) subscription tier is Essential, which costs $9.99 for a month.
