Somewhere deep inside Anmer Hall, pillows are being thrown against walls as a certain someone shrieks with rage. Prince Harry was in Washington, DC on Tuesday for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Global Summit. These photos are so nice! Harry wore a dark suit and at one point, he absent-mindedly played with his wedding band. I still think it’s so funny that between Harry, his brother and their father, Harry is the only one who wears a wedding band. Speaking of the dogsh-t father, on Tuesday, Buckingham Palace confirmed King Charles’s plans to go ahead with the state visit to the US. It only took a few hours after that announcement for People Magazine to publish an exclusive about whether Charles and Harry will see each other. The answer is “no.”

Prince Harry and King Charles won’t be meeting up when the monarch visits the United States in late April, PEOPLE understands.

The father and son will not see one another during the King’s upcoming state visit alongside Queen Camilla, with any suggestion they might carve out time together proving unrealistic given the tightly choreographed nature of the trip.

“When you’re talking about a state visit, every minute is accounted for — especially when it’s the King traveling as the invited guest of a head of state,” a source tells PEOPLE.

The source adds that Harry would not be expected to press for a meeting under those circumstances, noting that there is an understanding on both sides.

“Harry knows how things are and wouldn’t ask for that either under these circumstances,” the source says.

If you’re updating your calendar, Harry and Meghan will be in Australia mid-April, and I would guess that they’ll probably be back in California by probably April 24th-ish at the latest. Charles and Camilla are due in DC on April 27, with the state dinner on April 28, and Charles has to fit in an address to Congress as well. And Charles and Camilla have tacked on a trip to Bermuda too. The obvious solution, if father and son were willing, would be for Charles to ask Donald Trump to invite the Sussexes to the state dinner. If the palace specially requested it, the White House would do it. It speaks volumes that no one has requested anything like that. And yet, royal commentators will swear up and down that the onus is on Harry to bring Archie and Lili to Charles constantly, even if Charles has made it perfectly clear that he does not give a sh-t.
