Original shows have a hard time of making it work in the modern world and we lost one of the better ones. Prime Video's Étoile was canceled after just one season. Deadline reported that the Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino series was canceled despite having a two-season order. According to the report, it was due to the show's performance vs. cost report and not a change of who is in charge of Amazon MGM Studios. Jennifer Salke had been the one to give the series a two season order and she left her position at Jennifer Salke in March.
