The anachronistic Emmy-winner set during prehistoric times has been off the air for nearly three years as the Samurai Jack helmer has looked to continue from the bittersweet finale that brought Spear (Aaron LaPlante) and Fang's story to an end. However, nearly halfway into the year, there hasn't been a word about a potential release date beyond his previous assurance that a premiere this year wasn't out of the realm of possibility. In an exclusive interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, he offered a new update on how the season is shaping up and when fans can expect to learn more.
