Pokémon is constantly being reinvented, both officially and by fans. Whether it is a radical switch to an open-world format in the mainline games or the introduction of brand-new mechanics in a mod, it is clear that there are still plenty of directions in which the core Pokémon video game concepts can be taken. Fortunately, at least for fans of creature collector RPG games, this means that there is often an abundance of new titles inspired by Pokémon being released all the time.
