Little Mix star Perrie Edwards tied the knot with professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a ‘low-key’ but glitzy ceremony in Portugal on Saturday.
The couple, who have been together since 2017 and engaged since June 2022, exchanged vows on yesterday afternoon at Igreja Matriz de Estoi church in the village of Estoi in Faro, near where the bride owns a villa.
Perrie was glowing in a fitted long-sleeved white gown decorated with inticate floral lace, accessorized with gold earrings, and holding a bouquet of white calla lilies.
The singer was photographed leaving the small church holding hands with the Celtic FC midfielder, who wore a black tuxedo for their big day with a matching lily boutonniere.
Perrie’s six bridesmaids, including sister Caitlin, wore baby blue silk gowns and held white parasols to keep the sun’s rays at bay as they cheered the newlyweds down the church steps.
It comes months after the now-husband and wife welcomed the latest addition to their family, daughter Alanis Valentine, who was born in January.
They also have a son, Axel, who was born in August 2021.
The South Shields singer has been with the former Liverpool and Arsenal footballer since 2017 and recently said to Jamie Laing on his Great Company podcast, that she thinks their relationship is an example of ‘healthy love’.
‘I just love how calm he is and how understanding he is and how caring he is and thoughtful he is.
‘I just feel safe with Alex. I feel just content and happy and it’s not effort,’ she explained.
Perrie rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2011 with the pop group Little Mix, which included Leigh-Ann Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson.
The group went on to have five UK number one singles including Wings, Black Magic, and Shout Out To My Ex and one UK number one album, 2016’s Glory Days.
After Nelson left the band in December 2020, the group continued to perform as a trio until they went on a hiatus in 2022.
She has since launched her solo career, performing under the stage name Perrie, and released new music including Forget About Us, Tears and You Go Your Way, as well as her debut solo album last year.
