CoinGecko said PEPE was up 12.3% on the day after the Arkham report. The post noted that Sun has built a position of more than $50 million.

How Sun’s Holdings Grew

Arkham says the tokens arrived over the past 10 days. The holdings equal 2.82% of the total supply, making Sun the largest individual holder outside exchanges.

Two large withdrawals from Poloniex made up most of the position. On October 17, about 7.2 trillion PEPE worth $28.44 million moved to a Sun-linked wallet. On October 26, another 4.65 trillion PEPE worth $20.32 million followed.

Together, the transfers were worth $48.76 million at the time. Before October 17, Sun held about 68 billion PEPE, worth $267,000.

Arkham traced the tokens through Binance, Poloniex and HTX. It also found $77 million in stablecoin transfers from Sun-linked wallets to Poloniex between October 15 and October 25. The firm did not confirm that these funds were used to buy the PEPE.

PEPE has a market value of about $1.81 billion. Binance holds 18.7% of the supply, followed by Robinhood at 8.37%.

Market data shows rising interest. Santiment’s Social Dominance metric for PEPE reached 1.209% on Wednesday, the highest level since mid-April. The metric tracks PEPE’s share of crypto media discussion.

Derivatives numbers have also improved. CoinGlass data shows funding rates turned positive on Tuesday and read 0.013% on Wednesday. That means long traders are paying short traders.

The long-to-short ratio stands at 1.06. A reading above one means more traders are betting on a price rise.

Analyst Sweep said on X that PEPE keeps forming higher highs and higher lows. Sweep added that if Bitcoin holds near $80,000, PEPE could see a big rally.

On the daily chart, the Relative Strength Index reads 64, below the overbought level of 70. The MACD showed a bullish crossover last week that remains in place.

If gains continue, the next daily resistance is $0.00000521. If PEPE pulls back, the 50-day Exponential Moving Average at $0.00000412 is the nearest support.

As of press time, Sun has not publicly commented on the Arkham findings. Arkham values his total on-chain portfolio at about $2.29 billion.
