Having filmed a big chunk of The Last of Us series in Canada, Pedro Pascal seems to be in awe of the wintry nation, as he recently revealed that he would like to participate in the Canadian version of The Great British Bake Off series. The 50-year-old actor went as far as to say that he would skip the UK show, which is the original installment in the ever-expanding global reality franchise, in favor of its Canadian counterpart.
Here’s what the Game of Thrones alum had to say regarding his desire to appear in the culinary reality series.
Pedro Pascal reveals he wants to compete in the Great British Bake Off
During his recent appearance on Vogue’s Off the Cuff series, Pedro Pascal sat with his Materialists co-star Dakota Johnson and engaged in a quick-fire question-and-answer round where he revealed his preferences in several categories, including emojis, go-to recipes, and more.
In the segment, Dakota Johnson asked Pascal about a reality TV show he would like to feature in. He responded by saying, “The ones that I love are so punishing, so I don’t want to be on any of them.” Pedro Pascal then ruled out Couples Therapy, noting that he would desperately avoid participating in the show despite loving it as a viewer.
The Chile-born actor then divulged that he’d like to feature in Airline, an early 2000s show that centered around “people losing it at the airport,” before quickly going back on his word. Dakota Johnson seemed to have given Pedro Pascal a way out when she asked if he would want to appear on The Great British Bake Off. Pascal quickly replied, “I would like the Canadian Bake Off. Sorry, England.”
Shortly after Pedro Pascal publicly sided with The Great Canadian Baking Show over its British counterpart, the series’ social media team shared a hilarious video on its official Instagram account. It featured hosts Ann Pornel and Alan Shane Lewis and judges Kyla Kennaley and Bruno Feldeisen reacting in an awestruck manner to Pascal’s statement.
