Game of Thronesnever tells us what Jaqen H'ghar is doing in King's Landing in season 1, but there's one convincing theory I'd totally believe — if it wasn't for a minor detail that likely debunks it. Jaqen H'ghar is introduced at the end of Game of Thrones' first season, as he's one of the prisoners that Yoren is transporting to the Wall. Seasons later, we learn that Jaqen is actually one of the Faceless Men from Braavos. However, Game of Thrones never fills us in on why the assassin was so far from home or how he became imprisoned.
