Numbers taking part in €14,000 tax-free Rent-a-Room scheme doubled in six years

The number of taxpayers who get up to €14,000 in tax-free rent letting part of their homes under the Rent-a-Room scheme has grown steadily over the last 10 years – and doubled in the six years between 2017 and 2023.
