After three visually stunning seasons and a growing global fanbase,The Wheel of Timehas been canceled by the streamer it has called home since 2021. Prime Video officially pulled the plug on the fantasy epic last month, and while fans may have hoped the series would be shopped to another platform, Amazon and Sony have confirmed there are currently no plans to do so. It’s a heartbreaking decision for a series that was only just finding its footing. Based on the beloved book series by Robert Jordan (later completed by Brandon Sanderson), The Wheel of Time always had the potential to become a long-running fantasy franchise. Now, with so much of its sweeping story left untold, it feels like a missed opportunity, but one that another streamer could – and should – still salvage.
