It is hard to believe that The Lord of the Rings franchise began its life way back in 1954 with the release of J.R.R. Tolkien's masterpiece. Since then, the fantasy series has gone on to welcome books, television shows, video games, board games, and, of course, its infamous movie trilogy. However, its popularity has far from dwindled in recent years, and with another epic RPG set to launch this year, fans of The Lord of the Rings are in for a treat.
