The armies of Westeros will soon be at your command. At Geoff Keighley's Summer Games Fest, a new PC real-time strategy game based on the events of HBO's Game of Thrones and the novels by George R.R. Martin was just announced with a trailer that ensures "this is not the game you know." Titled Game of Thrones: War for Westeros, it casts players as the leaders of the armies of either House Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, or even the Night King in free-for-all battles where trust is fleeting and forging the right alliances and deceiving the right foes at the right time can make all the difference. Most importantly, though, the show's most pivotal battles can be re-envisioned, and the very course of Westeros's history can be changed, say, to erase Season 8.
