Marvel has shared a major update for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, revealing a new poster and confirming when tickets will go on sale. The announcement comes as the studio ramps up promotion for the upcoming movie. The marketing push signals Marvel’s next big theatrical launch.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps new poster shows Marvel’s new Earth
The announcement was made via the official Marvel Studios‘ X (formerly Twitter) account on June 3, 2025, which posted “Tickets on sale tomorrow,” confirming that ticket sales begin on June 4, 2025.
To mark the announcement, the studio unveiled a new poster featuring the titular team: Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing. The image also includes H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot, and the Fantasticar, all set against a retro-futuristic city backdrop.
The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Julia Garner plays the Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus. The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, and John Malkovich in undisclosed roles. Matt Shakman directs the film, and Kevin Feige produces it.
Set in a 1960s-inspired alternate world, the story introduces Marvel’s First Family as they confront Galactus, a cosmic threat aiming to consume Earth. The Silver Surfer serves as his Herald. The team must juggle their heroic duties with their family bonds.
Marvel also revealed the final version of the film’s logo. The updated design features a sleek, modern look that fits the movie’s retro-futuristic tone. This change follows several redesigns that began with the project’s unveiling at Comic-Con in 2019. The new logo and poster signal the next phase of the film’s marketing as anticipation grows for its theatrical debut.
Marvel Studios will premiere The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters on July 25, 2025.
