The wait is almost over for Star Wars fans eager to see the return of one of the galaxy’s most dangerous former Sith Lords. Following the debut of an action-packed trailer, Lucasfilm and Disney have officially lifted the veil on the full episode lineup and release schedule for the upcoming Darth Maul TV show, titled Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord.

Darth Maul TV show to release two episodes per week

The streaming strategy for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is designed to maintain momentum throughout its run. The series will consist of 10 episodes released over five weeks. The Darth Maul TV show will premiere on Disney+ on April 6 with two episodes. New episodes will then air every Monday in pairs, with the final two episodes landing on May 4, also known as Star Wars Day.

“This show is highly serialized, very connected all the way through,” said executive producer Brad Rau. “And it’s a super fast-paced series,” executive producer Matt Michnovetz stated. “We wanted to create an action-packed thrill ride, something that had the rush of a roller coaster. We do a lot of homages to the classic serials that inspired George Lucas, and Maul is the perfect character to drive this story forward,” he further added (via SFFGazette).
