One of Netflix’s most underrated sci-fi shows is Bodies, a 2023 miniseries created by Paul Tomalin of The Frankenstein Chronicles. The series is adapted from the DC Vertigo graphic novel of the same name by Si Spencer, and is just as bold and splashy as the graphic novel, while making enough changes that its plot twists and turns will be surprising to all. The splashy sci-fi mystery is perfect for fans of big high-concept shows like Lost, but at a tight eight episodes, the mystery isn’t as sprawling and intricate. Instead, it’s a look at four characters and how their inner struggles tie into larger themes of human connection and fighting oppression.
