The domestic box office exploded over the weekend with The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day delivering a record-breaking $430 million in combined revenue. Globally, the two films grossed more than $1 billion, with over $900 million coming from Spider-Man: Brand New Day alone. Considering how occupied audiences were, there weren't too many major releases on streaming over the weekend. Taylor Sheridan's Lioness returned with a third season, while Prime Video debuted the survival horror film The Devil's Mouth. This allowed a holdover hit from the previous week to continue its excellent run unimpeded by competition.
