Compared to most other streaming services out there, Netflix's lineup is easily one of the worst when it comes to the horror genre. There has never been a steady library of proven horror titles on the service (most great horror films only stick around for a couple of months at a time) and, save for a select few hits, the streamer doesn't have a strong catalog of scary originals. Netflix is mostly outclassed by the likes of HBO Max and Prime Video where horror movies are concerned, but the streaming giant currently has an ongoing film series on its roster that can stand up to just about any modern genre franchise, elevating Netflix's overall horror slate quite a bit in the process.
