In 2024, the soul of Jaws was repackaged with French finesse in Under Paris, a French horror thriller that saw the people of La Ville-Lumière hunted by a mutated shark ahead of the World Triathlon Championships. Becoming Netflix's second-most-watched non-English film ever, behind the aforementioned Troll, Under Pariswas such a hit that it has even earned a sequel.
