Timothée Chalametmight have divided the public with his all-in mentality during the awards season campaign for Marty Supreme, but there's no denying that he showed integrity at a young age when the time called for it. Many years ago, Chalamet was set to headline the romantic comedy film A Rainy Day in New York, alongside Selena Gomez. When decades-old allegations of impropriety resurfaced against the film's director, Woody Allen, Amazon Studios declined to distribute the movie and terminated its overall deal with him. In response, Chalamet donated his salary to organizations supporting survivors of abuse and declined to promote the film. Not everyone who has worked with Allen took such a definitive stance. In 2019, Scarlett Johansson said that she supports the embattled filmmaker and would work with him again. Johansson and Allen made three movies together, two of which are generally considered to be among the filmmaker's best.
