Netflix is one of the leading streaming content producers, but it is not always an easy environment for new shows. For every huge success like Strangers Things or Bridgerton, the platform has had far more series that were nixed early on in their runs. At times, these cancellations have enraged fans, as was the case with the sci-fi series The OA, which got only two seasons. Some series have only been awarded a single season on Netflix, even if they have been decently received, such as Everything Sucks!, The Get Down, and I'm Not Okay with This.
