NBC has officially ordered another shot of Chicago Med, stat. Although last year's pick-up was much more dramatic, coming down to the last minute and ending with episodes being cut and cast members departing, the network isn't waiting around this time to secure the long-running medical procedural for Season 12 as part of a collective renewal for the entirety of Wolf Entertainment's One Chicago franchise. All three are bound to return to their usual Wednesday night slot this fall. Given how much earlier the renewal is coming, too, it doesn't seem like there will be as many changes as all three shows suffered last time.
