Spider-Man has built up a legendary rogues' gallery since his inception in 1962. From Norman Osborn, aka the Green Goblin, to Doc Ock, Venom, the Kingpin, and more, there's been no shortage of villains who have made his life more difficult in New York City and pushed him to his limits. Oftentimes, these villains have direct connections to Peter or have inevitably found a way to strike the young hero where it hurts him most by learning his identity and targeting the people he loves, leading to tragedies like the death of Gwen Stacy. Yet, Marvel is officially introducing a new enemy for the wall-crawler that hits closer to home than anyone has before.
