In the latest episode ofEuphoria, Maddy coldly tells Cassie that she's "desperate," and sadly, the same could be said about the show's pilloried third season. When Euphoria's main characters were in high school, the HBO series was as poetic as it was provocative in its exploration of teenagers' sexual and mental health struggles. However, now that they're adults, season 3's explicit content feels shallow and gratuitous.
