Madonna has taken fans behind the scenes of her recent birthday celebrations in her latest Instagram post.

Over the weekend, the Queen of Pop turned 68 in Corfu, where she, her children and her boyfriend Akeem Morris marked the occasion with a lavish bash in the small village of Kouramades.

Posting on her Instagram page on Tuesday evening, the Like A Prayer singer shared some candid pictures from the event, including snaps of her eldest son Rocco Ritchie and daughter Lourdes Leon engaging in some traditional dancing.

She was also seen striking a pose with Lourdes, Rocco and their sisters Mercy, Stella and Estere.

“It’s my birthday!” she enthused. “Eat, pray, love, drink, dance, break plates, feed Cats!! Thank you G*d!”

Not pictured was Madonna’s youngest son, David, who was recently seen hyping his famous mum up before she opened the first ever Halftime Show at the World Cup final last month.

Besides her birthday, the Grammy winner has plenty to celebrate right now.

Last month, she unveiled her latest album Confessions II, a follow-up to her 2005 release Confessions On A Dance Floor.

Confessions II ended up landing Madonna some of the best reviews of her decades-spanning career, as well as earning her three top 40 singles, including a return to the top 10 here in the UK thanks to a new remix of the album cut Love Sensation featuring Kylie Minogue.

On Tuesday, it was also revealed that her Confessions II visuals, including its accompanying short film and the music video for the Sabrina Carpenter collab Bring Your Love, had bagged Madonna the most nominations at the upcoming VMAs, ahead of pop peers like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.

It’s also been suggested that she is now planning a return to the stage for 2027, with rumours claiming she’s set to headline three nights in London next year.
