TLDR

LIT is trading near $3.77 after falling more than 4% on the day, pulling back from September highs above $5. The daily chart still shows a rising trend line dating back to May, despite the short-term pullback. RSI has dropped to 38.39 and MACD has turned bearish, pointing to weaker momentum. Bitwise launched a new LIT staking ETP, ticker BLIT, on Deutsche Börse Xetra last week. Robinhood is expanding perpetual futures access for US customers while keeping its existing Lighter ties in other markets.

Lighter (LIT) fell below $4 on September 30 as profit-taking continued after the token’s strong September run.

Lighter (LIT) PriceLighter (LIT) Price

LIT opened near $3.93 and touched $4.00 before dropping as low as $3.65 during the session.

By the time of the daily chart, LIT traded around $3.77, down roughly 4.2% on the day.

The move follows a fast climb earlier in September that pushed LIT above $5.30 before sellers stepped in.

Despite the drop, the wider chart still holds above a rising trend line in place since May.

That trend began near $0.80 and has produced a pattern of higher lows through the summer.

LIT momentum cools after the rally

LIT remains above a support zone near $2.50 to $2.80, which acted as resistance in August before the September breakout.

That zone could turn back into support if the current pullback keeps going.

On the way up, $4 is the first level buyers need to reclaim, with $4.50 to $5.00 as the next test.

The prior high near $5.30 to $5.50 stays the bigger hurdle on the chart for now.

The daily RSI has fallen to 38.39 after sitting above 60 for most of September.

That puts RSI below the neutral 50 mark, though it hasn’t reached the oversold level of 30.

MACD has turned lower too, with the MACD line near 0.085, below the signal line at 0.253.

Robinhood and Bitwise keep Lighter in the news

The pullback came just days after Bitwise launched the Lighter Staking ETP on Deutsche Börse Xetra, tracking the Kaiko Lighter Reference Rate.

Robinhood Wallet already lets eligible users trade perpetual futures through Lighter in select markets outside the US.

Robinhood has now said it will bring perpetual futures to eligible US customers as part of its wider active trading push.

Trader Axel Bitblaze said on X that the sell-off looked like an overreaction to the Robinhood news.

He pointed out that Robinhood’s US perps plan is reportedly tied to Bitstamp, while Bitstamp already runs EU perps alongside Lighter’s separate Wallet integration in other regions.

Bitblaze added that Robinhood’s Wallet documentation still names Lighter as the exchange handling those trades, and there’s no confirmation the existing deal is being dropped.

Robinhood Europe lists LIT directly for trading and discloses a financial stake in Lighter through its Series B round.

LIT is now working through its sharpest pullback since the September rally began, with price holding above its longer-term trend line.
