Spock became one of the most beloved characters to come out of Star Trek: The Original Series,and that's largely thanks to Leonard Nimoy's iconic performance. While William Shatner brought a confident and commanding energy to Captain James T. Kirk, Nimoy portrayed Spock with more nuance and a quiet depth.
