Bandai Namco announced a new line of Kirby merchandise based on the Kirby’s Dream Buffet spin-off, and it consists of keychains of the main character and supporting cast members like Meta Knight and Waddle Dee sold with cookies. There’s no exact release date for the items yet, but they’ll appear in Japan in May 2026. These are blind bag items, and they’ll be 350円 (~$2) per package. There’s no global release window for it yet, but past Bandai Namco Kirby items have appeared on their Amazon storefront.

There are eight different keychains in the Kirby’s Dream Buffet. Many of them are just plain Kirby. Two are the pink versions of him with whipped cream or a burger on his head. Another two are the Keeby yellow and chocolate brown versions upside-down and stuck in whipped cream. Two variants feature him stuffed with strawberries, with one being pink and the other mint green. Finally, there are the Meta Knight and Waddle Dee variants sitting in whipped cream. As a nod to the fact that we collect strawberries in-game, the cookies included in each package have a chocolate strawberry coating on them.

Here’s how all the keychains will look:

While this was a minor spin-off, we’ve seen a lot of Kirby series merchandise based on it. For example, both watches and plush toys appeared.

The Kirby’s Dream Buffet keychains with cookies will show up in Japan in May 2026, and the game is available on the Switch worldwide. It’s unknown when we might see the keychains in North America.
