Katie Price’s new husband Lee Andrews will reportedly face a ‘police probe in Dubai’ after it was claimed he is banned from leaving the country.
The former glamour model, 47, stunned everybody after tying the knot with the businessman in January, but their relationship has been anything but plain sailing since.
Earlier this month, Lee’s ex compared him to the ‘Tinder Swindler’ and warned Katie that he should not be trusted.
This came before it was alleged that Lee is unable to leave Dubai after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend’s signature on a loan, which he denies.
Now, however, Lee’s legal woes look set to continue after reports suggested that allegations made to Herefordshire Police against him have since been handed to police in Dubai.
A source told The Sun: ‘The police have handed the files to the police in Dubai as Lee lives there and the allegations made against him happened in that country.’
Individuals involved in pending criminal investigations, including unpaid debts or civil lawsuits, are not legally allowed to leave the country, according to Dubai law.
Personal trainer Dina Taji, whom he dated for two years, is said to have found out that Lee allegedly forged her signature to take out a £200,000 mortgage in her name, the Daily Mail reported.
An insider said: ‘Dina couldn’t believe Lee had made financial commitments in her name.
‘He forged her signature to take out the mortgage for AED 1million. She only found out when the bank called her to check some details. She had no idea about it.
‘She then went legal and raised a case against Lee, which has resulted in him getting a travel ban.’
Earlier this month, Lee was also accused of begging a woman for cash just days before he proposed to Katie.
The Sun claims to have heard voice notes sent in January where Andrews asks an unnamed American woman for thousands of pounds.
‘If you can help me or send Western Union 3000, that would help me so much. I could just do with a big hug, really,’ Andrews reportedly said.
‘You don’t know how desperate it’s been, the last couple of months of me trying to survive.’
The woman claims that when she refused to send him any money, he swore at her and branded her a time-waster.
Just days later, Katie then backtracked a claim that Lee obtained a PhD from Cambridge University after his social media accounts claimed he was Dr Lee Andrews.
Lee also had pictures pinned to his profile with Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk at an apparent event in Dubai for his brand. However, these have since been debunked as AI-generated and removed.
Metro has contacted Lee Andrews’ representatives for comment.
