Vice President JD Vance snuck a not-so-subtle boast about his anatomy into a story about shoes during a Christmas party at his Washington DC residence on Friday.

Trying to give guests a peek at the “behind-the-scenes moments” he shares with President Donald Trump, Vance launched into an absurd anecdote from earlier that day.

According to the one-time senator, he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio were in the Oval Office discussing a “really important” issue when Trump abruptly changed course.

“The president kind of holds up his hand and says, ‘No, no, no, hold on a second. There’s something much more important. Shoes,’” Vance recalled.

Trump then allegedly pulled out a shoe catalogue, critiqued their footwear and announced he’d be gifting them each four pairs. Another unnamed politician was in the room as well, a detail Vance teased would soon matter.

“He says, ‘Marco, what’s your shoe size?’ And Marco’s apparently an 11 and a half. He says, ‘JD, what’s your shoe size?’ My shoe size is 13,” the vice president said.

Vance claimed the third politician admitted to wearing a size seven, apparently prompting the president to “lean back in his chair” and quip, “You know, you can tell a lot about a man by his shoe size.”

Making sure no one missed what he was trying to imply, he then gestured toward his wife, Usha Vance, adding, “We won’t ask the second lady for comment on that particular topic.”
