Jacob furious in Emmerdale as he makes unexpected discovery about Sarah

In an emotional moment, Emmerdale’s Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) revealed her cancer diagnosis to Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and is now suffering with regret.

During her check ups as part of her IVF journey to have a baby, Sarah learned she had cervical cancer. The doctors explained they’d need to remove her cervix.

While this was devastating to the teen, learning that they’d leave her womb and ovaries softened the blow. She could still carry a baby despite battling a life-halting illness.

In shock at the news, a distraught Sarah ran into Jacob and confessed all about her condition.

Initially supportive, Jacob quicky became judgemental when he learned Sarah planned to have a baby despite having a short life expectancy. He branded her selfish.

But then he learned he was the only person in the world that knew exactly what was going on with his ex and he berated her for keeping it to herself. What a pal.

Sarah had tried to tell her gran and grumpy what was going on ahead of her cancer diagnosis, but they were both too wrapped up in their own worlds having learned Debbie had done a flit to Australia.

Lots has happened since the fateful day that Sarah was given such grave news, and that Jacob found out – including Jacob weirdly offering to help her have and raise a baby, and then her heartbreaking realisation that IVF is not financially viable for her. It’s been a rollercoaster.

But Sarah is about to hit a downward loop as when she and Jacob catch up, he learns she still hasn’t told Charity about her cancer. He is furious.

Jacob is well known for acting first and thinking later when his emotions are heightened, will he break her confidence in a fit of rage?
